Join us for our next Sunset Session AT Thirst Church on Friday, August 7th at 6:30 PM in our Worship Center! Sunset Sessions are our monthly worship and prayer nights, which is a special time set aside to seek the Lord together. Come ready to lift up the name of Jesus through passionate worship, spend time in prayer, and be encouraged as we grow together in faith and community.
Thirst Lakeside Service + Baptisms | Sunday, September 13 | 10am
On Sunday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m., we’ll gather at the Oconomowoc City Beach Bandshell for our annual outdoor worship service. Formerly known as Worship at the Bandshell, this special service has a new name but the same meaningful experience …a one-hour worship service by the lake followed by baptisms in beautiful Lac La Belle.
If you’re interested in being baptized, we encourage you to sign up ahead of time so we can help you prepare for this important step in your faith journey.
This will also be our final summer service before we return to our regular fall schedule of two Sunday services at 9am and 10:30am.
VBS Recap!
What an incredible week of Vacation Bible School! We welcomed nearly 200 campers and almost 100 volunteers for a week filled with singing, praising, crafts, games, Bible lessons, reflection, and snacks. It truly is our favorite week of the year! Thanks to the generosity of our VBS families, we overflowed our donation bin for the OASD with school supplies, earning an ice cream party to celebrate on Friday. A heartfelt thank you to Miss Kristen and her family for the countless hours they dedicated to making VBS such a success, as well as to the many volunteers who shared their time, talents, and love with our campers. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this week such a blessing!

Thirst Kids Summer Reading Program: “Scripture Scoops” Summer in the Psalms
From June through August, we’ll read one verse from the book of Psalms each day, then kids can write and decorate that verse on an ice cream scoop card. Bring your completed scoops back to church all summer long as we fill our giant ice cream bowl in the Kids Wing. And if we reach our goal, we’ll celebrate with a special ice cream party in September! Pick up your Reading Program materials from Miss Kristen in Thirst Kids on May 17th! (and available any Sunday thereafter!)
AGAPE: LOVE | Word of the Year
Each year, we choose a guiding word to focus our hearts on God’s direction, shaping how we pray, trust Him, and live out our faith together. Our word for 2026 is Agape: the selfless, sacrificial love of God. Our theme verse comes from the Gospel of John 13:34: “Love one another as I have loved you.”
To help keep this word and verse before you all year long, you can download phone and smartwatch wallpaper backgrounds from our website featuring our Word and Verse of the Year designs! Also! We’ve got FREE Agape stickers available! Help us share our Word of the Year by grabbing one from the Welcome Table in the lobby before or after service. Stick it on your water bottle, laptop, or wherever you’ll see it often, and be reminded to live out Agape love all year long!
